By nature, we are compelled to create. By design, we are imbued with imagination. From birth, we are gifted with vision. Through life, we are nourished by experience. It is through "making" that we evoke essence and meaning.

I see painting as a tool through which visions and perceptions are mingled with the spirit, given thoughtful definition, purposefully expressed and then shared.

Searching to find one's own harmonious niche in the universe, and striving to feel the perfect fit of it's dimensions. Knowing that in turn, this niche fits into it's own perfect space within an endless, living tapestry... this has been a foundation for my work. There are also themes which recur... family roots, children, music, nature, cities, the human "organization" of the organic world, have all been consistent threads.
